Be it an email account or FileZilla, forgetting password is something that we does more often, too often I should say.

Now, I’ve found a cool procedure to recover the lost FileZilla password in just a few minutes. Here is how you do it,

Start FileZilla and open ‘Site Manager’. Goto¬†File>Site Manager or click the button below File option to open ‘Site Manager’ in FileZilla.

open site manager in filezilla

Here you’ll see website names on left and its details on the right side. Password will be displayed in¬†asterisk, so you can’t view it. We can view the password only in XML file created by FileZilla.

select website name to recover filezilla password

To download the XML file, goto File>Export.

click export to export xml file of site manager

Select ‘Site Manager Entries’ in the displayed pop-up box and click ‘OK’.

export site manager entries

Download the generated XML file to your system.

Open the file and you’ll see the site details including username and password.

retrieve your filezilla password

You’ve recovered your forgotten password. Cheers!!!
