A PAN card usually takes some 15 days to receive from the date of application. In some cases, it might delay due to one or the other reason.
With TIN (Tax information network) of Income tax deptt. you can now online track the status of your PAN card, directly from home. It’ll tell you when your PAN was allotted, dispatched and the expected delivery date to your location.
You can also know the courier service and package number of your PAN card (usually its FirstFlight courier service).
For tracking PAN status, you first need to reach Status Track for PAN Application page.
Select Application type as ‘PAN-New/Change Request’, and then either enter your Acknowldgement number provided with the registration slip, or your name and birth details. Details must be correctly filled as per what provided with the application.
Click ‘submit’ and you’ll get your PAN card status information.
Applicant can check PAN card status online only 24 hours after the submission of application.
