India recently launched the cheapest tablet computer called ‘Aakash’ to equip college students and village people with full internet connectivity.

Initially, it would be distributed to college students through their universities within a month or two, as per Government’s directives.

So, students can get in touch with their university to pocket one.

Rs. 1500-1800 is what students have to pay to get Aakash tablet computer. It would have WI-FI connectivity, android OS with many useful pre-installed softwares. It would be devoid of SIM and GPRS facility.

Getting an Aakash tablet from market isn’t possible anytime in the near future. Government would allow its market sale only after the requirement of universities are quenched. As per the insiders, the tablet should be out for common people in 4-5 months time.

Common people would have to pay Rs 3200 to get Aakash tablet with retail price hovering around Rs 3000. It would include SIM, GPRS, 2 years warranty and many other features.
