It is a true fact, that last month, Windows XP of Microsoft has lost a huge amount of online usage share, according to a Web metrics company. The company has lost around 2 % points during September to end of the month. In this ratio, the company shares have declined with 50.5 percent for all desktop operating systems. It was certainly the biggest monthly loss, for tracking of Windows XP.
In the month of September, this declining ratio was dropped up to 3.9 percent in XP share and it was a great record in Net applications’ data. Seriously, this is good news for Microsoft as it has addressed users who are still using XP to upgrade windows 7. Kevin Tuner, the chief operating officer of Microsoft has said that it is a time to go for XP whiles a financial analysts’ call for last month.
On this very time, the XP shares’ have gone down and Windows 7 have received 1.8 percent of points till the September month end, it has received 32.4 percent growth rate, which is a record for 2009 operating system. In the last year, the window 7 has earned 14.8 points which is like doubling the shares.
Now, if both XP and window 7 would act according to its 3 months’ average, then surely windows 7 will fully replace XP and will be referred as number one operating system of Microsoft in 2012.
According to Net applications’ numbers, it depends on the release of windows 8 version by Microsoft and it will be surely a great change in windows 7 and it will drag the growth ratio up to 50 percent mark. And it is expected that windows 7 will get its share which is 48 %, in October next year.
