A Delhi based company, Classteacher Learning Systems developed a tablet called ClassPad, which has better configuration than Aakash tablet.

Advent of Aakash has set a new trend of developing cheaper tablet, and taking cue from this, ClassPad is developed.

It’s priced more than Aakash tablet, but with most configuration slated better than the cheapest tablet, ClassPad has much more to offer.

Notable configurations of ClassPad

  1. Processor: 1.3Ghz
  2. RAM: 512Mb
  3. Memory: 4Gb inbuilt, 8Gb expandable
  4. Battery Life: upto 6 hours

ClassPad is under final phase of development and is scheduled to come by 2012, both via retail market as well as online shopping sites.

Price will be in-between Rs 7,500-14,000, but like Aakash tablet, students will get the tablet at subsidized price.

ClassPad tablet will come in 3 models: ClassPad 7, ClassPad 8 and ClassPad 10. Price will vary as per the tablet model.

With education sector thriving hard to employ cheap gadgets in studies, ClassPad, with better features can be a big market churner.

However, the price is still is still not enough to beat Aakash in total sales.
